From August, the clones G175-405 and MX007 for in vitro diagnostics for the immunohistochemical detection of p16INK4a are available from medac.
In IHC, the detection of p16INK4a in cervical cancer is used as a marker for pre-malignant and malignant HPV-associated lesions, and in oropharynx cancer as a surrogate marker for HPV infection and as an independent prognostic marker.
Along with the HPV/p16 cell line controls, medac is thus offering a comprehensive diagnostics panel for the detection of HPV-associated infection.
