Enterovirus PCR Kit
Enterovirus PCR Kit

With the new enterovirus real-time PCR kit, medac Diagnostics is extending its range for the molecular detection of respiratory and neuronal infections.
Detection of the enterovirus is based on the amplification of a specific RNA sequence of the 5’UTR. A positive sample is indicated by the FAM fluorophore fluorescence growth. An internal control (IC) included in the PCR kit is added to the sample to monitor the entire diagnostic process (RNA extraction control, reverse transcription and PCR amplification control). IC positive amplification is detected in the HEX fluorophore fluorescence channel.
The PCR is based on “hot start” technology to minimise non-specific reactions and achieve maximum sensitivity. The ready-to-use master mix contains uracil-DANN-glycosylase (UDG) to eliminate a possible contamination of the PCR by amplification products.
Swabs, CSF and stool samples* are suitable as specimen.
The kit is approved for in vitro diagnostics and provides qualitative and semi-quantitative detection.
