I.) PCR test for SARS-CoV-2, influenza A/B, and RSV
With the Gpack Covid-19 • Flu • RSV by GeneProof, SARS-CoV-2, influenza A and B as well as RSV can be detected in one run using PCR. The Gpack contains the SARS-CoV-2 PCR Kit, the Flu Multiplex PCR Kit, and the universal control. The coronavirus is detected specifically with the three E, N- and RdRP-gene sequences so that no other tests are needed to confirm.
All three pathogens can be detected specifically from one extraction through the universal thermal profile and the standardised control. In addition, the two separate tests supplied mean there will not be any invoicing difficulties.
The PCR tests’ ready-to-use master mix is a real handling advantage. It reduces the number of pipetting steps to a minimum with only the sample having to be added to the ready master mix. There is no need for additional pipetting of PCR reagents. This saves time and reduces the number of potential errors.
   
The generally universal temperature profile makes the Gpack compatible with the other GeneProof PCR tests that can be processed at the same time.
The PCR is based on “hot start” technology to minimise non-specific reactions and achieve maximum sensitivity. In addition, the ready-to-use master mix contains uracil-DANN glycosylase (UDG) to eliminate false-positive results.
   
II.) Multiplex PCR SARS-CoV-2 • influenza A and B
As an alternative, we can also offer you a multiplex PCR test that differentiates between SARS-CoV-2, influenza A and B.
This test contains a ready-to-use, lyophilised master mix. The test specifically detects SARS-CoV-2 using the specific CDC N2 region of the N gene.
